ACI Announces Acceptance As A C-TPAT Tier I Certified Partner
St. Louis, May 3, 2017 Associated Couriers, Inc. is proud to announce its acceptance as a Tier I Certified Partner in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program, which helps to secure U.S. borders and ensure the continued free flow of international trade.
In order to achieve Tier I partnership, ACI addressed a wide range of security topics, and expanded on existing action plans to address security throughout all steps in the supply chain.
“Participating in C-TPAT as a certified partner will allow us to better serve our customers while using cargo security protocols as outlined by the U.S. government. This will help expedite our shipments that cross borders and provide the time-sensitive service that ACI is known for,” said Matt Silverberg, Director of Operations.
As part of the C-TPAT Tier I partnership, ACI has agreed to work with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect supply chains, identify security gaps, and implementing mandated security procedures and best practices. There are currently more than 11,400 certified partners throughout the trade community who take an active role in assisting the government in its fight against terrorism.
ACI is proud to utilize these resources to mitigate risks and provide expedited shipping and recovery services to customers throughout the United States.
